Endorsed Partners with HR Elevate to Bring Hiring Fraud Into the Executive Conversation

Endorsed is partnering with HR Elevate to bring enterprise People leaders together for candid conversations about applicant fraud.
In February, we joined executive dinners in New York City and Salt Lake City with C-suite and senior HR leaders from major employers. These were practical discussions about what organizations are seeing in their applicant funnels, how fraud tactics are changing, and why the problem increasingly requires coordination between Talent Acquisition, Security, Legal, and executive leadership.
Why We Are Bringing Leaders Together
Applicant fraud can look like a recruiting-volume problem at first. Recruiters lose hours investigating suspicious resumes, profiles, phone numbers, and interview behavior. Over time, teams may become so overwhelmed that they review fewer inbound applicants or add friction for every candidate.
The enterprise risk is larger. Fraudulent applicants may be using stolen or rented identities, proxy interviewers, manipulated locations, or remote access tools. If one reaches the workforce, the organization can face risks to sensitive data, intellectual property, customer trust, and compliance obligations.
Many executives still encounter these stories one incident at a time. Bringing leaders together helps organizations compare what they are seeing, learn how other teams are responding, and build a shared vocabulary before an urgent case forces the conversation.
A Community Effort
HR Elevate creates settings where senior leaders can speak openly about difficult operational problems. Endorsed brings the applicant-level research, fraud patterns, and practical detection experience we have developed while reviewing millions of applications.
Together, our 2026 executive dinners will focus on:
- How modern applicant and remote-worker fraud operates
- Where identity checks and background checks can still leave gaps
- What recruiting teams can identify before an interview
- How Talent, Security, Legal, and Compliance can share responsibility
- How to protect the company without treating genuine candidates like suspects
That last point matters. Organizations have an obligation to address coordinated fraud, but the solution should not be indiscriminate suspicion. Better evidence and earlier review can reduce fraud while also giving legitimate applicants a fairer opportunity to be seen.
Thank you to the HR Elevate team and to every leader who contributed to the first conversations in New York and Salt Lake City. We look forward to continuing them throughout 2026.
